Five courses of Danish gastronomy, welcome bubbles and live 50s soul from Hawk & RayDay – an evening that hits right in the heart.
The tables are set, the candles are lit and the band is ready. This evening brings together NU&DA's kitchen and the warm, swinging soul of the 1950s and 60s in a collaboration with Danish singer and guitarist Hawk – alias Søren Høg – and his band RayDay.
While the kitchen serves a 5-course tasting menu built around the season's finest Danish produce, Hawk and RayDay play their way through a repertoire rooted deep in Ray Charles' universe, seasoned with original compositions and timeless evergreens. Søren Høg leads from the front with his deep soul voice and brilliant guitar playing, backed by Jan "Gasser" Eirup on keyboards, Ole Bo on drums and Lars Hammargren on bass. Together they create a sound that is warm, alive and full of edge.
The evening begins with welcome bubbles at the table, and from there the kitchen and band take over in an interplay of flavour and atmosphere. Expect the unexpected – Hawk always has a little surprise up his sleeve.
